Agreement

By using MetaPurge ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

MetaPurge scans images for embedded metadata (EXIF, IPTC, XMP, GPS, C2PA/Content Credentials) and optionally strips it, returning a cleaned file. Processing is server-side and transient — we do not persist uploaded images.

Free and Pro tiers

• Free: 5 image cleans per day (IP-tracked), single file, up to 40MB, metadata summary. No account required.
• Pro ($5.99/mo): unlimited cleans, batch ZIP, up to 1GB per file, full metadata viewer, Deep Purge. Requires an account and active Stripe subscription.

We may change tier limits or pricing with reasonable notice. Existing Pro subscribers will be notified before changes affect their billing.

Billing and cancellation

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled at our discretion — contact us if you believe a charge was made in error.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to process content you do not have rights to
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication, or tier restrictions
• Overload or disrupt the Service (automated abuse, excessive requests)
• Reverse-engineer or scrape the Service beyond normal use

Important disclaimers

MetaPurge removes embedded metadata, including C2PA manifests that drive metadata-based labels (e.g. LinkedIn's CR badge). It does not guarantee removal of invisible pixel watermarks, SynthID-style encoding, or ML-based AI detection that analyzes pixel content rather than metadata. Deep Purge is an optional extra pass — not a promise of undetectability.

Platform behavior (whether LinkedIn, Instagram, or others show a badge or label) is outside our control. Results may vary by file, format, and platform.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that cleaning will meet your specific requirements or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MetaPurge and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, reputation, or business opportunity. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by mandatory local law.
